Cassidy Thind, MACP, RCC, CCC

About Cassidy (She/Her)

Hello, I’m Cassidy. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) working with residents of BC and Alberta. I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with over 11 years of experience in counselling youth, adults, couples, and families through various mental health roles and agencies.

I have obtained additional trainings in Emotion Focused Therapy for Individuals and Couples, Gottman Theory, Bringing Baby Home, Suicide Prevention, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I am dedicated to ongoing learning and unlearning through my work as a therapist, but also as a mom, friend, partner, and human. I am committed to upholding a safe space for you as an inclusive, culturally sensitive, and 2SLGBTQI+ affirming therapist.

My Approach

Live happens in waves. Sometimes we feel on top of the world, and the next moment we can come crashing down. This can stop us in our tracks, wondering where to go next. As a therapist, I am committed to tailoring my specialized evidence-based approaches to suit your story, honouring the individual goals, desires, and values that you want to work toward.

I am passionate in working with individuals, couples, and families from a relational perspective, noting that connection is a human innate need that can be disrupted through unexpected challenges and curveballs in our lives. I believe that fostering connections based on the fundamentals of safety, security, and trust is essential in our well-being.

I work to assist in identifying negative emotional and communicative cycles and patterns that we often find ourselves in within our relationships and with ourselves. Our negative cycles are often driven by our innate fears, such as abandonment or rejection. Once uncovered, we can allow space to identify, grow, and foster what you are truly yearning for at our core, such as feeling safe, loved, or wanted.

I believe it is important to not just reach your mental health destination of wellness, but understand your journey for long, meaningful change.
