This policy explains how [Hearthstone Counselling Inc.] (“Hearthstone”) collects and uses personal information through hearthstonecounselling.com. It applies to this website only.
Independent practices
Hearthstone is a shared space for independent practitioners. Each counsellor runs their own practice and is responsible for the personal and health information of their own clients, including booking, records and billing. When you book with or contact a counsellor directly, their own privacy policy applies. Ask your counsellor for a copy.
What we collect
- Information you send us: your name, email, and anything you write when you use a form on this site (general questions, referral requests). Please don’t include health information in these forms.
- Basic website data: like most websites, the site and its hosting provider may automatically record technical information such as your browser type, device and pages visited, to keep the site secure and working. [Add if used: “We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, in aggregate.”]
- Embedded content: some pages include content from other services, such as Google Maps. These services may collect data under their own privacy policies.
How we use it
We use information you send through a form only to respond to you, for example to answer a question or send referral information. We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don’t use it for marketing.
Booking and links to other sites
Booking links take you to each counsellor’s own booking system (such as Jane App), or to their own website. Information you give there is handled by that counsellor and that service, under their privacy policies.
Storage and security
Form messages are sent by email to the Hearthstone office and kept only as long as needed to respond. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no website or email is completely secure, which is why we ask that you don’t send health information through this site.
Your choices
